It’s so important to make sure you have the right mindset when making changes in your life. I know first hand the frustrations of failed attempts to get fit and healthy, but it doesn’t always have to be that way. Going into it with the attitude that your efforts will probably fail, as they have in the past, is bound to sabotage you.

Make a list of all the reasons why you don’t think it will work. Then write down a way you can make sure it does! For every excuse there IS a solution. Sometimes you just need to get a little creative.💡

There is no greater feeling than looking back and seeing how far you’ve come🙌 There will be days where the choices you have to make will feel like the hardest things in the world, but I promise it’s worth it!

I can totally remember a night when I was out with friends and everyone was sharing a bunch of fried crap to make ordering “easy”. 🙅I felt so torn. I knew what I should do to stay on tract, but I felt like my friends would think I was SO annoying. I had to make a choice. It wasn’t fun. It wasn’t easy. But I needed to do what was best for ME, not what was convenient for everyone else. When I ordered my grilled chicken breast friends made comments about how I could have a splurge night blah blah blah, but why would I? I had come so far and wasn’t ready to start losing ground for one night out and some fried chicken fingers.
.

It’s these little choices that make the difference. One night might not ruin your progress, but I bet it won’t be the only time your tempted to indulge. You need to get into the habit of saying no. Making the healthiest choices for you so that 90% or more of your time you are on point. When it’s a habit you truly think about whether the splurges will be worth it and can make sure you enjoy it without the guilt!


I can honestly say I have never been happier in my life. Like you, I still have goals I’m working toward. I will always be a work in progress and there will always be moments I have to make “difficult” decisions. The awesome part is, once you start seeing your body change, those decisions become WAY easier! You WILL make it! 💕 Xoxo Katie

Skipped breakfast lately? You along with 31 million Americans! More often than not I hear people saying they miss breakfast because they “just don’t have time.” Or if they do eat it it’s a bagel or donut someone brought into the office that screams to you as you sip your morning coffee.☕️

I get it. When you have the choice between extra sleep or cooking some eggs, we almost all would choose sleep, but it doesn’t have to be one or the other. Like with most things, it just takes a little preparation! 🍴
.

Skip breakfast no more! This took me 5 minutes to throw together last night and it was delicious this morning straight out of the fridge! You can eat it at home or easily take it to-go!

💛 Non-Fat Plain Organic Greek Yogurt (this is the best for the lowest sugar and highest protein).~
💛Blueberries & Raspberries~
💛 Homemade granola~
💛 Try not to add honey or sugars. Let the berries be all the sweetness you need!

A study done at San Diego State University compared 13 different ab exercises and found that the Bicycle crunch was the best exercise to work your rectus abdominis! That’s the biggest ab muscle that runs vertically down the middle of your whole core! 🙌
